Lee and Low books, a publisher of diverse books for children, has just published their annual study of diversity in the children's publishing industry for 2023. You can find the results of their survey here.
Here at Access Books Bay Area, we have always believed that children deserve to have access to books that reflect their lived experience. And the underresourced schools that we serve in the Bay Area predominantly serve children of color. We applaud the ongoing efforts of organizations like Lee and Low to get more diverse books in the hands of children, as it helps us to do the same.
