About The Event

Are you artistic? Do you enjoy painting or paint by numbers? Are you good at staying inside the lines? We are looking for volunteers with artistic inclination and excellent  attention to detail to help with mural painting at our next school project at Ohlone Middle School in San Jose. Mural painters will be painting in a traced design that will already be on the walls, with pre-mixed colors. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on as the paint we use does not wash out.

A casual pizza lunch will be provided around 11:30am for those without dietary restrictions.

This volunteer opportunity is for adults and teens age 16 and up only. Each person volunteering must be signed up individually.

Ohlone is a school in the San José Unified School District where many students are experiencing homelessness and receive shelter and services through our partner organization, Amigos de Guadalupe. The school’s library collection is quite old, and staff are eager to refresh it with new books that truly engage their middle school readers — especially graphic novels and books about sports.
